The Rocky Mountains are a massive mountain range. They stretch almost 5000 kilometers from the northernmost part of British Columbia, in western Canada, to New Mexico, in the south-western United States. The lie of the land is determined by the local climate, which can be called the Alpine without any doubt. Despite the fact that the mountains are visited by millions of tourists annually, the nature over there has been relatively untouched. Thanks to that it is still possible to admire species of plants that are characteristic for the region.
