Lofoten is an archipelago located in the north of Norway, within the Arctic Circle. Despite the fact that there is an unfavorable subpolar climate and winter lasts almost all year round, the Lofoten Archipelago attracts tourists who enjoy spending time in an active way in the bosom of nature. Whale safari is one of the biggest attractions that are offered by the archipelago. In autumn many sea animals travels in the southern direction to spend winter there. From October to January passenger ships, fishing boats and pontoons set sail in order to admire large schools of herring and cod, migration of white-tailed eagles, flocks of seals and noble orca whales. On this occasion visitors may also admire breathtaking views of islands and fiords.
