The Narew river flows in the north-eastern part of Poland, it is also a tributary of the Vistula river. The river is 484 km long, 36 km of which flows in Belarus, where the river has its source. The Narew disgorges into the Queen of the Polish rivers, the Vistula river, in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. The areas located near the river, in the Podlasie and Mazovia regions, are extremely picturesque. The lowland watercourse forms extensive marshes and peat bogs, branching into a network of troughs, which is a rarity. The Narew National Park, the symbol of which is the marsh harrier, stretches between the town of Suraż and the village of Rzędziany. These areas are characterized by the richness and uniqueness of fauna and flora.
