Triglav National Park is located in the north-western part of Slovenia and covers a large part of Slovenia's Julian Alps. There is the breathtaking 1,600-meter Vintgar Gorge. Near the gorge there are walking trails, from which tourists may admire the river flowing through the gorge, foamy cascades and waterfalls, as well as picturesque rock formations overgrown with greenery. Sightseeing is facilitated by numerous bridges and wooden observation decks. The gorge is located near the tourist resort of Bled and the lake of the same name.
