The part of the Italian Riviera lying in the region or Liguria near the town of La Spezia is called Cinque Terre. It comprises five towns. The authorities established the National Park there and the buildings there are enlisted on the UNESCO List of the World Heritage Sites. Exceptional development of a steep cliff is the landmark of Cinque Terre. Despite the fact that the town is very popular among tourists is has still retained a large part of its original form, mostly due to its seaside location.
