Wy-dit-Joli-Village is a commune in the French department of Val-d'Oise in the south of the country, located 50 kilometers from Paris. According to legend, the commune owes its name to Henry IV – when he was passing through the village he shouted "Oh, what a pretty village?". In Wy-dit-Joli-Village there is the town hall as well as the twelfth-century church of Saint Romain surrounded by the remains of the Merovingian cemetery. The saint himself - the archbishop of Rouen – was born in Wy-dit-Joli-Village. The village is surrounded by picturesque neighborhood, full of bike trails. The settlement is dominated by well-kept country-style houses.
