Charlotte is the largest city in the state of North Carolina. It is located in the west of the United States and belongs to the oldest cities of the country. It was founded in 1755 by Thomas Polk, who named it in honor of the English queen, wife of George III. The city center, commonly known as Uptown, includes four districts where banks, international corporations and sports organizations are located. Next to the glazed skyscrapers, you can admire the city's oldest buildings, as well as numerous museums, parks, restaurants and bars. There are also hotels that host nearly 20 million tourists a year.
