Cologne is located in the western part of Germany. It is the largest city of the German Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the High Cathedral of Saints Peter and Mary, built in the Gothic style, is one of its landmarks. It is the largest church in Cologne. Its construction lasted from the 13th to 19th century. The municipal buildings are dominated by its two 157-meter towers. The temple was built by the River Rhine and together with the beautifully illuminated Hohenzollern Bridge it is the most important element of the evening panorama of Cologne.
