Venice is a city located in the north of Italy on the Adriatic Sea. It is mainly famous for its extensive network of canals. Bridges connecting more than a hundred small islands are one of the visiting cards of Venice. In the city there are over four hundred bridges and footbridges that create the unique atmosphere of narrow streets with historic houses entwined with ivy – their facades are reflected beautifully in the water. The car traffic is strictly forbidden in the center of Venice and tourists often photograph charming wooden or stone bridges during walks.
