Greek salad is a dish popular all over the world, it is based on feta cheese, olives and fresh vegetables. Aromatic, diced ingredients catch the eye with the abundance of colors and aromas, typically associated with the carefree summer season. In Greece cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and red onion are mixed with cheese that is served in the form of a largish slice, which is consistent with the Greek word feta, which simply translates into a "slice". However, in other countries, small cubes of cheese are usually mixed with other ingredients and topped with aromatic olive oil-based sauce. It happens that a salad is also enriched with other ingredients, especially fresh herbs and garlic, sometimes even with lettuce or Chinese cabbage.
