The Narew is a 484-kilometer lowland river flowing through Belarus and Poland, where it disgorges into the Vistula river. The Narew is one of the favorite river for anglers and canoeists. Iti is a braided river, which is divided into several troughs, flowing separately, or connecting in certain parts into one course. The Narew Valley is called Polish Amazonia. Local residents used to travel around the floodplain areas of the river valley in flat-bottomed boats, using with long poles, which could be used to push the boats reaching the bottom of the river. Today the traditional flat-bottomed boats are a tourist attraction. Tourists may also enjoy a cruise on the Narew river in a special gondola, speedboat or on board of a cruise ship.
