Poros belongs to the Saronic Islands, an archipelago located in the Greek region of Attica. The island is located near the Peloponnese, they are separated by a two-hundred-meter sea channel. Despite the lack of an airport, Poros is perfectly connected to the mainland, primarily with the nearby town of Galatas. In addition to ferries, transport between the island and the mainland of Greece is served by numerous water taxis.
