Ramsau near Berchtesgaden is a charming German town located in the Bavarian Alps. The town's parish church of St. Sebastian is a well-known landmark of the region, which is still well-preserved on numerous photographs, postcards and puzzles. In the 20th century the temple was an extremely popular painting theme among German artists, now a photo of the white building on the background of a wooden bridge can be seen in every tourist guide dedicated to Bavaria. The church of St. Sebastian was built at the beginning of the 16th century, whereas a characteristic Baroque dome crowning the tower comes from a later period. The Ramsauer Ache river flows by the temple.
