Seasonal fruits – such as strawberries, cherries, currants, raspberries and blueberries – are healthy, rich in vitamins, low-calorie and above all very tasty. They are perfect ingredients of cakes and muffins, sweet desserts and homemade preserves. Their slightly sour taste can be broken with the addition of ice-cream, cream, jelly or delicious kissel. The fruits collected in summer may be preserved in jars in the form of delicious jams or compotes, as well as frozen in order to enjoy their taste in winter.
