Indigenous inhabitants of Majorca, the Spanish island which is attractive in terms of tourism, are occupied at present (apart from working in tourism services sector) with the same that their ancestors used to do. Important areas of island's economy are farming and fishing. In the central, lowland part of Majorca farmers grow grapevines, olives and citruses, in the mountains sheep are grazed, and in the coastal areas fish is caught. Fishing on Majorca is done with the use of modern, power-driven and well-equipped fishing boats.
