Nebbiolo is a dark variety of grapes traditionally grown in Italy, particularly in the area of Piedmont. The word “nebbia” means “fog” in Italian, which relates to the time of harvest in October when Piedmont hills are covered by characteristic fog. At present this variety of grapes is also grown in the United States, Argentina or Mexico. Wine produced on the basis of nebbiolo has an intense characteristic bouquet.
