Brick is the most widely used construction material in the world. Although it has been used for 7,000 years, it has not lost its functionality – it is resistant to weather conditions, insulates well and is very durable. Bricks are known in many varieties, differing in the firing technique and the raw material composition, as well as in shape and size. Since the earliest times, brick manufacturers have fired or stamped special markings on them indicating the plant in which the building material was made. These kinds of signs have already been known in ancient Babylon and are used to this day.
