Continental breakfast is a kind of morning meal served in hotels and guesthouses. It consists of bread, butter and sweet sides – honey or jam and coffee or tea. In the extended version there are also fruits, cold meats, dairy products, breakfast cereals. It happens that they are also enriched with hot dishes – sausages, bacon, boiled or fried eggs. The classic continental breakfast is particularly popular in the Mediterranean countries and in the United States, whereas the extended version dominates in Scandinavia and Western Europe, with the exception of Great Britain, where English breakfast is served.
