Cheese is produced from the milk of animals kept by man, including cows, goats and sheep. Various types of cheese differ in taste, aroma, color and even texture. Cheeses usually contain a lot of fat, which influences their caloric content, but they are also a valuable source of calcium and protein. Although in many regions of the world local varieties of cheese are produced, the finest ones come mainly from France, Italy, Greece and Switzerland. They taste exceptionally good with a glass of wine, accompanied by fresh wheat bread, for example baguettes.
