European White Waterlily, known commonly as a water lily due to the leaves floating on the surface of water, is a water plant of which there are about 50 species. In wild nature the lilies are found almost everywhere in Europe. The most common varieties are similar in color to blossoming land flowers. Lilies are considered to be decorative plants. In many countries they are under protection. It is interesting that European White Waterlilies are used in alternative medicine.
