Heap of vegetables and fruits online puzzle
Many people have difficulties to attribute some edible parts of plants to the group of vegetables of fruits. Groceries such as tomatoes or cucumbers raise some doubts in that matter, sometimes they are even the reason for hot discussions. However, the issue is simple for the botanists – they consider tomatoes and cucumbers as fruits. According to the definition, fruit is a part of a plant, which grows from a blossom and contains seeds. Whereas various edible parts of plants (it is worth noticing that fruits are not always edible) such as tubers, roots, leaves or stems as considered as vegetables. Contrary to popular opinion, it is not juiciness or flavor that decide.
