The Bachanowo boulder field is a unique nature reserve located in the Czarna Hańcza river valley, near the village of Bachanowo, in the Suwałki Landscape Park in Poland. This reserve protects a natural concentration of large erratic boulders that were brought by the glacier during the Pleistocene glaciations. The boulders come in a variety of sizes and shapes, some reaching impressive sizes. They were left here by the Scandinavian glacier about 10-12 thousand years ago. These are mainly granites, gneisses, quartzites and other rocks of northern origin.
