Sunrise used to be a special moment of a day for all cultures of the world, regardless of latitude and historical epoch. It was considered unique not only for practical reasons, as it is the beginning of the day and time when daily activities should start, but primarily it was perceived as a magical time. It was a border point between night and day and for that reason it was a great moment for performing acts of magic, e.g. medical or protective treatments. Today magic of sunrise can only be associated with the romantic landscape, but it is worth remembering that it used to be the time when demons lost their powers.
