Virgin Gorda is an island located in the West Indies in the archipelago of the British Virgin Islands. In the past its inhabitants were mostly farmers and worked in copper mines, however, today the islanders derive increasing profits from tourism. The biggest attraction of Virgin Gorda are The Baths, i.e. unusual rock formations creating natural granite pools and caves. Boulders of various sizes – partly situated on the beach, partly submerged in water – create a unique setting for swimmers.
