Val d'Orcia is a region in the central part of Italy. It is known for its extensive farmlands, vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees and sunflowers. The valley of the river Orcia is one of the most beautiful places in Tuscany, and perhaps in the whole of Europe. In 2004 the Val d’Orcia was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The extraordinary land of Val d'Orcia is also a favorite place of many artists, painters, photographers and film crews.
