The bougainvilleas are abundantly flowering plants from the nocturnal family. They can be found primarily on the Mediterranean, in countries with a warm, mild climate. They are an indispensable element of the landscape in the Italian and Spanish towns, where their flowering vines grow on fences and walls of houses. In a less favorable climate, bougainvilleas are grown as decorative room or balcony plants. They are distinguished primarily by their intense color of the bracts surrounding the flowers – dark pink, amaranthine or purple.
