It is difficult to say clearly whether dressing dogs in winter clothes is a whim of owners or a necessity. It all depends on the individual needs of a pet, as well as weather conditions. Some breeds of dogs do not have the right amount of fat or undercoat, i.e. a dense, waterproof layer of fur under the hair. Animals that live at homes with central heating on a daily basis may also suffer from reduced immunity. If there is severe cold and the pet shakes while walking, it is worth investing in a dog’s bodysuit or hat.
