This most popular alpine road ends under the "diamond" of the Hohe Tauern National Park (Nationalpark Hohe Tauern): Austria's highest mountain and largest glacier, the Großglockner (3,798 m), Pasterze. <br />
On a 1,500 meter climb, 30 km up to the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe hill, you will travel through all vegetation zones. We are about 4,000 km away from the North Pole. The road Hochalpenstrsse - Grossglocknerstrasse is a compact trip to this land of eternal ice. You will start this journey with green meadows and end with the eternal ice.
