White Rhinoceros (also called African) is the largest rhinoceros living currently. It reaches almost 2 meters of height and over 4 meters of length. The name of that species has not much in common with its coloring - it is an incorrect translation of the Afrikaans word wyd, which means "wide", to an English word "white". 100 years ago that species of rhinoceros was considered to be completely extinct, however, at the beginning of 20th century in South Africa 50 animals were found. The process of recreating the population has brought the number of representatives of that species to about 11 thousand.
