Beautiful mountain range of the Altai connects as many as 4 countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China. In Mongolian the name Altai means "Golden Mountains". The over 2000-kilometer mountain massif is divided into three ranges: the Altai, the Gobi Altai and the Mongolian Altai. The Altai is not only enormous rocks, but also taiga, tundra and steppes. The Alpine relief, ravines, valleys and rivers, combined with meadows, forests and lakes create a beautiful Siberian panorama.
