The coat of arms of Warmia is a white Lamb of God placed in a red field, bleeding into the chalice, with a halo, holding a flag. In this form and colors it was presented by Jan Długosz on the banner of Warmia bishops captured at Grunwald. The image itself is certified for the 14th century on bishop's seals. After the creation of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in 1999, the coat of arms of Warmia returned in its original version and was incorporated into the coat of arms of the Voivodeship.
