In 1974, three Chinese peasants discovered an amazing find that changed our way of thinking about ancient China forever. An army of 8,000 life-size terracotta figures of soldiers guarded the tomb of the first emperor. 2,200 years ago it was believed that the Terracotta Army would help him regain power in the afterlife. Each figure is dressed differently, armed, and has a different expression. That is why this extraordinary work was called the 8th wonder of the world.
