one. They are worn either for decoration or for protection, they may also serve a variety of other
functions. They protect from cold, sometimes against chemical substances or dirt. They are used by
doctors, craftsmen or sportsmen. It is difficult to imagine a boxers' fight without gloves, although a goalkeeper and a skier would have difficulties working without them.
