La Paz is the city in Bolivia, in which the Bolivian government has its seat. La Paz is inhabited by over a million people, and together with the El Alto suburb - 2 million. The city is located at the level ranging from 3600 to even 4100 meters in the Central Andes, and it is the capital located at the highest altitude in the world. Nearby there is the river La Paz and the volcanic massif Illiami. Due to the altitude at which La Paz is located it is no wonder that there are many facilities, which are considered to be located at the highest altitude in the world – the most important are the cycling track and football stadium.
