San Francisco is the city and the county in the USA, in the state of California. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean from the eastern side, by the San Francisco Bay from the western side, and from the north in borders the Golden Gate Strait. San Francisco is particularly known for the famous Alcatraz prison, the Chinatown or the Golden Gate Bridge. Thanks to them the city has become an important tourist centre. A wonderful view on the conglomeration of San Francisco, steep hills and streets characteristic for the city, attract tourist. San Francisco is also a real cultural and ethnic melting pot.
