Chinatown in San Francisco is the largest agglomerate of people of the Chinese origin outside of Asia. It is also the oldest district of this kind in North America – it was founded in 1848. Chinatown is a specific Asian microcosm. Those who enter there, move themselves to the country of redolent incense, paper lanterns and green tea.
