Mainau is an island in Lake Constance in Germany. It is called the Island of Flowers, as it is famous for its beautiful gardens, full of neatly manicured lawns, picturesque alleys and colorful plants. Swedish prince Lennart Bernadotte settled here in the 1930s. Mainau is an ideal place to relax with your family. There are extensive parks for children to play, farm animals, gardens full of roses, orchids and tulips, giant statues covered with flowers, fountains and ponds, as well as monumental sculptures, depicting various characters and objects.
