the border between Poland and Slovakia lies in the Pieniny mountain range, in the so-called Lesser Pieniny, and is located in its eastern part. Spruce forests as well as vast green meadows and pastures extend at the foot of the peaks, among which sloping roofs of houses can be seen here and there. The border regions occupy picturesque villages such as Kacwin, Chyżne or Jaworzynka. Although the area is frequently visited by tourists, some villages have retained their tranquil and idyllic atmosphere.
