Svaneke is a Danish harbor town on the island of Bornholm. In the town there a lighthouse almost a hundred years old. The town council decided to build the lighthouse when a Polish schooner was shipwrecked off the coast of Svaneke. The quadrilateral sandstone tower is fifteen meters high and is crowned with a small red roof. In the vicinity of the lighthouse there is the town’s swimming pool. Since 2010 the building has been privately owned and it was converted into a small hotel, offering rooms with beautiful views of the rocky coast.
