Medieval walls of Besalú (Spain) online puzzle
Besalú is a town in the Spanish province of Girona in Catalonia. The settlement impresses with its medieval buildings and narrow cobbled streets, nevertheless, the eleventh-century stone bridge over the river Fluvia is its real landmark. The bridge is L-shaped with a monumental gate, whereas in the center of the town there are the Romanesque Sant Pere and Sant Vicenc churches. In Besalú there are also the remains of the former Jewish quarter with the mikveh for ritual ablution. Tourists coming to the town can enjoy numerous pubs and souvenir shops.
