Lombard Street (USA) online puzzle
One of the most famous streets in the world, i.e. Lombard Street, is located in the northern part of San Francisco. The street is situated on a steep slope and there are eight hairpin turns. A serpentine layout of the street is designed to increase the safety of inhabitants of nearby houses. The characteristic, winding street is one of the landmarks of the city and has found its place in the popular culture – it appears in films, serials, cartoons and computer games. Vermont Street is another serpentine street in San Francisco – it has seven hairpin turns.
