Wicker is a plant raw material used in furniture making, basketry and production of small everyday objects and decorations. It is obtained from young willow shoots subjected to appropriate treatment. Wicker furniture has many advantages. It is light, yet quite durable, they also have great aesthetic values and never go out of fashion. They look great both indoors and in the backyard: in the garden, on a wooden veranda or stone porch. Intricate wicker furniture, however, should be protected against prolonged exposure to rain or burning sun, so it is better to place it under a roof.
