The fountain made of glass plates is located in the western part of the Wroclaw Market Square. The design was prepared in 1996 and from the very beginning it aroused many controversies. The fountain was perceived as an odd element disturbing the historic character of the Market. However, the fountain was built in 2000 with the assumption that it would stay on the Market for two years but it has remained there for good and it is now one of the Wroclaw landmarks and undoubtedly a tourist attraction.
