Bamboo bowl with nasi kerabu online puzzle
Nasi kerabu is a Malay traditional dish. Blue-colored rice is the main ingredient of the dish. The blue color of rice results from the petals of butterfly-pea flowers, which are used not only for dying meals, but are also important in the traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Apart from rice the main ingredients of nasi kerabu include dried fish or fried chicken, prawn crackers and sprouts or cucumber salad. The dish is particularly popular in the east of Malaysia, but it can be ordered all over the country. It is also known in the south of Thailand, where it is called khaoyam.
