The most famous place where flowers are grown in the Netherlands is Keukenhof – the park that covers 32 hectares. Due to the fact that mostly bulbous plants grow there, it is best to visit Keukenhof in spring. Although tulips plantations are interchangeably associated with the Netherlands nowadays, one must not forget that the Dutch tradesmen brought these plants from Turkey. After a walk among sweet-smelling carpets it is good to go to a shop and buy favorite flowers.
