Despite the fact that we may find them in every supermarket, preserved and frozen, it is worth buying fresh, organic fruits from time to time. In order to do so it is best to go to the market and buy them from the local vendors. Fresh and aromatic apples, pears or peaches are the tastiest during the season, when fruits do not need any preservatives, artificial fertilizers or colorants. Stalls at the market are particularly attractive and colorful in summer and early autumn. The market is also the place where we may find natural products from local farmers and fruit-growers, such as honey or plum jam.
