Patagonia is a sparsely populated region shared by Chile and Argentina. In the Chilean part of Patagonia there is the town of Coyhaique established in 1929. It is surrounded by the two rivers – Simpson and Coyhaique and snow-capped mountain ranges. There are marble caves, lakes and countless waterfalls near the town. Coyhaique is a local tourism center, nevertheless, the visitors may fully enjoy almost unspoiled nature. Apart from viewing points and tourist trails the area offers the possibility of doing mountain and water sports. However, it is worth taking a short break and admire the amazing view of waterfalls, which are accompanied by lush vegetation and rocks.
