Iguazu Waterfall (Iguaçu) - in Guarani "large water" - is one of the waterfalls on the Iguazu River and is situated on the border of Brazil and Argentina. The Iguazu River flows out from the source near Sao Paulo; in the place where it reaches the plateau, just before it flows into the Parana River, it creates a large and beautiful waterfall (the beauty of the waterfall is emphasized, especially in the moments when the sun is operating strongly, by rainbows which appear at its threshold). Between the thresholds of the waterfall there are rocks, thick clumps of trees and of other plants (palms, bamboos and ferns). Under trees there are wild tropical flowers blooming. The nearby jungle there are many species of animals living. In Brazil as well as in Argentina the waterfall is surrounded by national parks.
