Rose is a beautiful perennial, within the family Rosaceae. It occurs in hundreds of species, which differ in size, color and shape of flower petals. Roses are primarily ornamental plants, however, some of their varieties are edible and have medicinal properties. Rose is a symbolic plant – it is sometimes associated with beauty, love, goddess Aphrodite and Mother of God. In professional greenhouses florists work on obtaining new varieties of this flower, with colors that do not occur in nature - blue, green and even black.
