Štrba Lake is a mountain body of water of glacial origin located in the Slovak part of the High Tatras. It covers an area of almost 20 hectares and is situated at an altitude of 1346 m above sea level. The lake is characterized by relatively high water temperatures and reaches a maximum depth of 20 meters. On the lake shore there is a ski resort of the same name. Štrba Lake is surrounded by hotels and sanatoriums. There are numerous hiking trails along its shore, tourists may also take a boat trip on its surface.
